I love working on new and custom glass designs and bringing whatever you can dream up into existence. CUSTOM/MADE TO ORDER chokers can be made from any borosilicate glass color that is on the market. This includes a wide range of colors, different transparencies (opaque or transparent), and some colors even have fun qualities such as sparkles, opalescence, or metalicy shines. Chokers can be made as seen or you can mix and match colors. At a small, agreed upon, additional cost you can add charms or beads to them such as flowers, leaves, or whatever design you can think of.
To start the process: make the purchase in the shop, then send an email to najahaalboushi@gmail.com with your ideas. Feel free to send pictures as color or design inspiration to work off of. If you have any additional questions prior to doing anything, please reach out.
Chokers are made with adjustable sterling silver hardware. This design accommodates any size and style of wearing. Sterling silver is long lasting and durable. Over time it will temporarily tarnish. To polish the chain just submerge in warm soapy (dish soap) water and scrub lightly with a toothbrush and they will be good as new.
The chokers are made with borosilicate glass and are constructed in a strong design. However, it should not be dropped from a high distance.
CUSTOM/MADE TO ORDER Choker
All items are crafted by me in my small studio in Oakland, California. As an independent artist, living in an expensive city, the cost of each item includes labor, studio rent, propane and oxygen, tools and equipment, kiln electricity, implementing health and safety measures, and materials.
Buying from a small business supports costs of living including rent, eating, health insurance, etc. I am thrilled to be able to make long lasting, custom jewelry based on nature, life, and dreams.
If you don’t have extra money to spend but have been hoping to acquire something I make, I am always happy to work out a payment plan for pieces over $250. If the same applies and you are a historically and purposefully marginalized individual, I am happy to provide a sliding scale rate. At this time, I am not financially able to trade, however, I hope to be able to soon.
